We announced our 600 lottery winners today with a bang! There was a lot of anticipation around this list as our community has been gearing for the IDO with hopes of being whitelisted! (Congrats to everyone who got whitelisted!)

However, there were few issues that caused some confusion so it’s important we address them immediately!

Firstly, our Whitelisting Phase was hit hard with bots, we mean very hard! We received just under 130,000 applications out of which just under 30,000 were legitimate. Our team spent nearly 2 days, nonstop, scrubbing the data to manually check there were no bots or fake entries. One of the top strategies the bots used is that they targeted our top community members in our Telegram group and bots made an average of 24 entries with the same username. Geez! Them bots!!

Secondly, in our emails, we pre-filled out the wallet addresses for all the winners. We received feedback that some POLs members had wrong wallet addresses. This was due to an Excel error that had affected only some applicants and we had already rectified the results. For those who had received an email with the wrong address, kindly email back to us with the correct address just to be sure.

Thirdly, some winners did not receive an email. We’re using HubSpot email server which has one of the best deliverability rates in the world. We have engaged them already and it seems there are two common possible explanations for this:

• The email is sitting in a spam or junk folder in the recipient’s inbox.
• The email was placed in a quarantine area by a security filter. In this scenario, the email was filtered after being received by the server but before it was placed in the recipient’s personal inbox.

All the correct wallet addresses are rectified in the system and we are now helping the winners with their KYC process.

This is such an exciting time in the DeFi industry and especially for us because we have our big IDO launch on Polkastarter on Monday. We sincerely apologize if there were any inconveniences or confusion caused on your end. We are back on track and looking forward to the launch on Polkastarter, followed by Uniswap.
